After attending this training, participants will be able to:
1. Describe key somatic practice principles and clinical considerations by exploring the mind body relationship, appropriate scope of practice, dual awareness, and sensitivity to a therapeutic environment.
2. Identify nervous system patterns associated with community trauma and collective stress by distinguishing hypoarousal and hyperarousal and regulation using the window of tolerance polyvagal theory and observable somatic cues.
3. Apply somatic regulation and resilience-building strategies such as grounding, orienting, present moment anchoring, pockets of safety, and self-compassion-based liberation practices to strengthen provider regulation and support trauma-informed care.
Leave inspired, equipped, and ready to create more inclusive conversations that strengthen relationships, improve care, and advance health equity.
