Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Recertification Course
Includes (2) Day Course, Exam, and Certificate
- March 9, 2026 - 9am - 12pm
- March 10, 2026 - 9am - 12pm
Course Description
TF-CBT proficiency certification remains valid for a period of five (5) years. Upon expiration, practitioners are required to successfully complete the recertification process to maintain their certification and practice in compliance with the most recent standards in TF-CBT.
Recertificaiton ensures the continued delivery of services consistent with current standards of care that are backed by evidence. Professionally, it supports ongoing development in a discipline that is continually informed by cultural adaptations, emerging research, and advancements in clinical methodology.
To fulfill the recertification requirement, practitioners must complete a six-hour refresher training course, followed by a brief examination. The examination is designed to confirm mastery of the learning objectives presented during the refresher course and to ensure continued fidelity to the TF-CBT model. This process prevents divergence from the model’s core components and reinforces integration of the latest clinical insights.
