Cultural Humility Training 1 

Advancing Inclusive Dialogue, Clinical Development, and Allyship

FY 2026-2027

Creating truly inclusive spaces begins with the conversations we have every day. Join renowned trainer Dr. Puja Chadha for this dynamic, interactive session designed specifically for behavioral health and clinical professionals who want to strengthen their ability to build trust, foster belonging, and provide culturally responsive care. This CE-eligible training moves beyond theory to provide practical, evidence-informed tools you can immediately apply in clinical practice, interdisciplinary teams, and community partnerships. Through real-world scenarios, reflective discussion, and actionable frameworks, participants will learn how to recognize and address bias, navigate difficult conversations with confidence, respond to microaggressions, and cultivate allyship as an ongoing professional practice. Whether you work directly with clients, supervise staff, or lead organizational change, this session will leave you with concrete strategies to strengthen psychological safety, enhance emotional intelligence, and promote more equitable outcomes for the communities you serve. 

Training Details

  • Training 1: Advancing Inclusive Dialogue, Clinical Development, and Allyship 
  • Date: Thursday, August 27, 2026
  • Time: 10 am to 12 pm
  • Format: Virtual
  • Audience: All Sacramento County BHS and contracted provider direct service staff who provide behavioral health services to Sacramento County consumers, their supervisors, and management are required to attend these trainings.

      If required staff miss this training on August 27th, they will be required to watch the recording which will be available 2 weeks after the training takes place.  

      Learning Objectives

      After attending this training, participants will be able to:

      •  Recognize and address implicit bias, privilege, and microaggressions in behavioral health settings. 
      •  Apply practical inclusive dialogue and emotional intelligence frameworks to everyday clinical interactions.
      • Strengthen reflective listening, perspective-taking, and conflict navigation skills.
      • Translate allyship into meaningful, observable actions that improve team culture and client care. 
      • Develop a personalized plan to advance inclusive, culturally responsive practices in both individual and organizational settings. 

      Leave inspired, equipped, and ready to create more inclusive conversations that strengthen relationships, improve care, and advance health equity.

      Continuing Education

      All activities in this training are available for 2.0 CE Hours excluding any breaks. CE Certificates of Completion will be emailed within six weeks of processing your completed online evaluation.

      Psychologists: APA: California Institute for Behavioral Health Solutions is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. California Institute for Behavioral Health Solutions maintains responsibility for this program and its content.   
       
      CCAPP CIBHS is an approved provider for California Consortium of Addiction Programs and Professionals (CCAPP) continuing education units (Provider number 5-98-408-0227). 

      CADTP CIBHS is an approved provider for California Association of DUI Treatment Programs (CADTP) continuing education credits. CIBHS maintains responsibility for this program/course and its content. (Provider number 204) 

      LMFTs, LCSWs, LPCCs, and/or LEPs CIBHS is an approved provider for the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT) to sponsor continuing education. CIBHS maintains responsibility for this program/course and its content. Course meets the qualifications for 2.0 hours of continuing education credit for LMFTs, LPCCs, LEPs, and/or LCSWs as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. (Provider Number70799) 

      RN CIBHS is approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider Number CEP17140 for 2.0 contact hours. 

      Certified Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialists Certified Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialists are eligible to earn 2.0 continuing education hours as CIBHS is a CalMHSA-approved CE training provider.

      Additional Training Dates

      As a reminder, all direct service staff who provide behavioral health services to Sacramento County consumers, their supervisors, and management who oversee clinical operations are required to attend these trainings.
